This will be our last wellness update and I wanted to recap on some of the great advances people have made in their fitness/wellness this year. Congratulations to everyone, mentioned and not, you are all an inspiration to me and keep me striving to be healthy!
Cody has lost over 30 pounds! Gurney has hosted several "no sugar" challenges, at which staff and students have been very successful! Parish and Cavender have been working out at the Willard Rec Center early in the morning before school. Henry, Stone, Towe, and Brabo have worked out all school year in the mornings in the HS weight room. Bowden, Purvis, and Swadley have made some very healthy eating and exercising habits in the last few months! Hyde and Baker have walked the halls in the mornings since the beginning of the year. Cox and Swadley have joined them this spring! Cavendar led an aerobics class during the fall and several WMS staff attended! Smith rode his bike to and from school in the fall, ran a 1/2 marathon, and is doing a triathlon soon! Burney has changed eating habits and has lost over 14 lbs. since her engagement! Williams continues to walk, outside when its nice, or inside when its pouring rain! Jennings and Poland continue to enjoy fitness at Genesis Health Club! McDowell continues to find and try healthy recipes! There are 6 ladies growing babies! Several people have completed monthly point challenges and have won gift cards! And there are countless other successes that I don't even know about! Great job this year WMS! Keep sharpening the saw and continue keeping each other accountable!
