That is one out of every eight teens that you pass is dealing with depression on one way or another. Depression can come from many different things depending on the person it is affecting. Finding help isn't always an easy thing and can be difficult for people who seem to be in denial of what the truth really is turning out to be. This flyer is intended to help inform those who may suffer of the real facts of depression and help them find the right care to help them in fighting back!
Don't Wait Until it is Too Late.
Only 20% of teens who suffer from depression are reaching out to get the help that they need. Waiting in the hopes that you will be found is not the right thing to do. Find an Adult, teacher, peer, or someone you trust that you can talk to about how you feel.
Is it More Common in Girls
During their teen years, girls are twice as likely to get depressed as boys do. This comes from drama, rumors, slut shaming, and peer pressure that can cause them to feel hurt. Family problems can also add to these feelings to make them worse.
Learn How to Fight Back
Don't ever be afraid of finding the help that you need in order to surpass depression. Physicians can give you general information to help you, but if extra attention is needed, you will be sent to a mental health doctor to receive special care to make sure that you overcome depression.
