Highlight of the Week
Thanks to all the parents that helped out at our Valentine’s Party
last Friday. The students had a great time! A special thanks to our homeroom moms and our first grade coordinator, Dawn Hall. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful group of parents!

Admission is $5 and will be purchased it at the museum the day of the field trip. Due to limited bus space all chaperones will need to meet us at the museum. Feel free to carpool to save on parking cost:) If you plan on attending the field trip, please let me know so that I can arrange small groups. Hope you can join us!

***Your child needs to bring a heavy snack or light lunch on these 2 days. If you would like your child to purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria please let me know by Tuesday the 16th at 3:00pm so that I can make arrangements with the cafeteria.***

What we are learning this week...
Reading- I can determine whether a story is true or fantasy and explain why.
Writing- I can think about and use the questions my readers may have to make my ideas clearer.
Science- I can analyze and record how organisms depend on other living things in various situations to survive.
Social Studies- I can identify historical figures such as Benjamin Franklin, and Alexander Graham Bell.
