First & Second Grade AIM
AIM Day!
Today our AIM class was introduced to the art from of calligraphy and landscape painting (both invented and developed in Ancient China). We also learned about how the invention of paper/printing in Ancient China is widely considered one of China's major technological contributions to the world. As a group we decided that creating our own "landscape inspired" art would be a hot seller in our Ancient Chinese Souvenir Shop. Next week we will explore the process of making paper, and perhaps creating our own designs etc. but today was all about making the art! We used charcoal and ink for our first piece. FYI - I had them wear gloves with the charcoal to decrease the mess a little bit.
Supplies - Please consider picking one of the following three items to donate to our AIM classroom 1) Glue 2) Duct tape or 3) Cardstock paper
Thank you!
