Indian Bayou Elementary

November 2022

A Message From Our Principal

THANKFUL, THANKFUL, THANKFUL....the word that resonates with me and all of our Indian Bayou teachers and staff when we think of our precious students and their amazing families! There are so many blessings that come our way from being a part of this TRIBE: love, friendship, precious children to brighten our days, a giving community who supports faculty and students, and many, many days ahead to spend with one another. TOGETHER IS OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO BE.

The month of November is already passing by in a flash. Students have received their 1st report card and are taking benchmark assessments to gauge their learning during this first stretch of school. We are so proud of their hard work! We apologize if their heads are beginning to look a little large, but their brains are growing from all the knowledge they're getting from our amazing teachers! Sorry, not sorry!

Our teaching and learning days in November are limited. Thank you for making sure that your children are on time to school and attend each day. So much goes on in one school day; it's very important for your students to be here each day.

I'm excited to announce that we are bringing back our annual Veterans Day program this year! We will have a short program on Friday, November 11 to honor all Veterans. If you or any of your family members have served our great country, please join us at 10:00 and allow us to share our gratitude for your service and the service of your family.

I want to thank you, your family and friends, and the Indian Bayou community for supporting our Apex Fun Run event! It was a huge succes, and the students enjoyed the character building and activiities very much! The faculty and staff of Indian Bayou Elementary wish you a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
