MEET INTERIM PRINCIPAL CINDY ANDERSON
It is with great honor that I introduce myself as the Interim Principal of Rancho Minerva Middle School for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. I truly look forward to serving our community.
Professionally, I have been part of the Vista USD Family since 1994. My career experiences include teaching Mathematics and Science at the middle school level and grades 3-5 at the elementary school level. I served as middle school assistant principal at Washington Middle School and then at VIDA and principal of Alamosa Park Elementary School.
Personally, my family has lived in Vista since 1930. I attended Crestview and Santa Fe Elementary Schools, Washington Junior High School, and Vista High School. I am a proud Vista kid! I have been married for 51 years to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 daughters- the oldest teaches at the Leadership Academy and 4 grandchildren who attend Vista schools. The majority of my personal time is spent with family and friends, hiking, and reading.
It is my goal to support the great work already happening at Rancho Minerva. I look forward to serving students, families, staff and the community to assure our scholars are successful and transition smoothly to their next school. My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email, phone call, or personal appointment!
Sincerely,
Cindy Anderson

REMINDERS
DEVICE COVERAGE REMINDER
Please consider purchasing device coverage for your computer. It's $20 for the school year. That's a deal! Just as an example of how much repairs cost: The Dell Touch screen 3100 model repair cost for its screen damage is around $150! The option to purchase a $20 VUSD Mobile Device Protection Plan is an easy solution to protect this expensive piece of equipment.
CELL PHONES ON CAMPUS
All scholars are reminded to power down their cell phones and to put them in their backpacks each morning during the announcements. If a scholar needs to reach their family, they are able to access the phones in classrooms or in Scholar Services. If a scholar's phone is seen out (for example, in their back pocket), it could be confiscated and held for parent pickup. Thank you for your support in advance.
