Juan Ponce De Leon

Juan's first exploration was in 1508. This is when the Spanish sent him to explore Puerto Rico in search for gold. The outcomes of this exploration was he was named the governor of Puerto Rico.


He was born in Spain in 1460. He sailed for Spain. He is ambitious, hard working, and ruthless when its needed.


In 1512 Juan was sent to search for the lands and during this he found the fountain of youth.


In 1513 Juan lead an expedition of three ships to Bimini from Puerto Rico. This is where they landed in Florida.


He built a small financial empire that helped advance Spanish colonization in the Caribbean.


He landed on the mainland of North America and named this new colony Florida. He became the founder.
