Meet Our Paraprofessionals!
Emma Aldridge
This is my first year here and I am so excited to get to know everyone! I am currently attending MSU Denver pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I look forward to a great and successful school year! Go pirates!
Stephanie Matthews
I started working at EMS in January 2020, but I have been part of the Englewood community for 17 years. Both of my kids have been through Englewood schools since ECE - one was class of 2019, the other is class of 2023. I am the Affective Needs para, and I love it. I think it is important to remind kids that they matter, they have hope for the future, and they can still make good choices; especially the kids who don't get to hear those things often. That is why I love my job. I get to be one of those voices, and part of a great team!
Carolyn Metz
I have a background teaching music in private and public schools. I have a BA in music and a MA in Elementary Ed. I am looking forward to working with EMS because middle school is my favorite age group and I enjoy the small community feel of the district. My career highlights have been taking students to perform at the Rockies, sing with the Colorado Symphony and at the large Cathedral downtown. I am excited to be a part of the staff at EMS this year and work with student I've been assigned to this year!
Pam Lipford
I have supported special needs students as paraprofessional for 17 years. This is my fourth year with EMS. I enjoy learning from all staff and students I meet.
Kathy Reeves
I have worked with students for 10+ years. I work mainly with our SSN program.
The Standard Response Protocol updated this year. New posters were placed in your classrooms by or around your phones. Please review the new protocols so you understand them and can teach them to your students. You will notice a new "HOLD" action has been added and Lockout is now called, "SECURE!" Click here to view updated documents on the staff resources website.
FREE LUNCH!
Jimmy John's will be providing free box lunches for our staff on Wednesday. YUM!
Clear the Lists!
Chip Gaines (of Magnolia and Fixer Upper fame) wants to support teachers by clearing their wish lists for supplies! If you have Twitter, hop on and share your list with him.
Lunch with Zamkov
Mr. Zamkov joined his students in the cafeteria for lunch last week! He was able to connect with them in an informal way and work to build those relationships that are so important for learning.
Pirate Booty Grand Opening!
The Pirate Booty will be open for business this Wednesday and Thursday during CCR/Leadership! Students can shop two at a time and need to continue to practice social distancing while visiting the Pirate Booty. Please click here to the Pirate Booty schedule.
Protect Yourself and Others!
The employee thermometer is now housed in the clinic. Stop in there if you need to use it.
