Reflection on Distance Learning
However, our school community banded together to face these unprecedented times and that is something we must celebrate. Our entire Bellevue community of parents, students, teachers, paraprofessionals, food service workers, and bus drivers should be commended for their continued dedication and tremendous amounts of effort that were put forth to meet the needs of our Bellevue Broncos! We were able to showcase our ability to unite and work together for the benefit of all our students!
Today, we know the plan for the fall is still uncertain, but we will continue our efforts to make decisions that are grounded in safety and doing what is best for our school community!
Thank you for your continued commitment to Bellevue Community Schools. I am proud to be a Bellevue Bronco! Please have a safe, healthy, and restful summer!
Sincerely,
Jheri Wilson

Summer Learning Program
Due to the level of uncertainty that we are experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our summer learning program for elementary students. While this decision was difficult, we want to ensure that our Bellevue students and staff are kept safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

Pre-School Enrollment for the Great Start Readiness Program
G.S.R.P. (Great Start Readiness Program) is a government-supported program that provides free or low-cost preschool services for families. G.S.R.P. is a 4 day per week classroom-based experience which begins the third week of September and continues through mid-May. GSRP helps children get ready for kindergarten.
Please fill out the Google form below to register your child for our G.S.R.P program and to provide us with your contact information.
In addition, please visit https://www.mychildneedspreschool.com/ and click “Apply Now” to begin the pre-school application process.
We are happy to help you walk through the preschool application and enrollment process. We can also help you with follow-up questions. Since we are working primarily from home and not in the school at this time, please direct all questions and concerns to our G.S.R.P. Lead Teachers, Roger Byykkonen and Chris Schneider. Mr. Byykkonen can be reached at rbyykkonen@bellevue-schools.com and Ms. Schneider can be reached at cschneider@bellevue-schools.com.
Please fill out the Google form below to register your future Bellevue Bronco and to provide us with your contact information.
Once we have your registration, we will mail you a Kindergarten Information Packet that will contain enrollment paperwork and other important information regarding our Kindergarten program. Please fill out the enrollment paperwork and send back to the school in the self-addressed stamped envelope that will be provided.
Since we are working primarily from home and not in the office at this time, please direct all questions and concerns to the Elementary Administrative Assistant, Jennifer Munster via her email, jmunster@bellevue-schools.com.
Please continue to check our website, http://www.es.bellevue-schools.com/, for information pertaining to our Kindergarten Program.
Note: Children must be 5 on or before September 1, 2020, to enroll. Students who turn 5 between September 2 and December 1 may still be enrolled with a waiver completed by the parent/guardian.
All in a Summer's Work
The curriculum work that will be taking place consists of the development and design of PK-12 English Language Arts and Mathematics curriculum and Grades 7-12 Science and Social Studies curriculum. Our overarching goal is to begin the roll out of this curriculum in August 2020.
The "Powerful Student Care" team will continue moving forward in our work to become trauma informed and resilience focused, while integrating our initiatives with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). In addition, we will be developing systems of supports for the social, emotional, behavioral and mental health needs of our students.
The design team for re-opening our district will be developing several different plans for a safe return in August. We will utilize the input that is being provided by members of our school community and guidance from the State of Michigan in the creation of the Bellevue Community Schools plan. Please stay connected to the district and be on the lookout for continued communication throughout the upcoming months.
