Polar Bear Swim
History and purpose
Peter Pantages in 1920 created the "Polar Bear Club". he believed people should swim everyday. so to prove a point on New Year's Day he gathered a few friends willing to go in cold water.

Activities and traditions.
Now almost a 100 years later people are still jumping into the cold waters in Canada.
People can wear pretty much anything. You could wear anything from a swimsuit to a ladybug costume, You could even dress normally in jeans and a t-shirt.
After running into the freezing water you can either warm up with some hot chocolate or coffee.
