Special Olympics Update
Congratulations to our Special Olympics' athletes for their accomplishments in their first Track & Field event this past week at McKinney's Ron Poe Stadium. A tremendous thank you goes out to the staff, students, and community members in McKinney for hosting us, for all their hospitality, and for putting on an amazing event. We appreciate Bobcat Moms for their continued contributions to our snack bags! Our team family of staff and peer helpers are such a blessing by providing their help, assistance, dedication and knowledge. Our athletes competed against other students from Anna, Blue Ridge, Denison, Lovejoy, McKinney, Prosper, Rockwall, Sherman, and Wylie. Each athlete participated in one Track event and one Field event. Here are the results from the competition:
Special Olympics' Track & Field Athletes
Jackson Coutts- 1st place in 50M Dash and 2nd place in Standing Long Jump
In the next couple of weeks, our Bobcats will be traveling to Anna for the Track & Field competition. Go Bobcats!! Make that IMPACT!

The Counselor's Corner
HONESTY ACTIVITY: Is exaggerating dishonest? How common is it? Challenge the family to look with intention for examples of exaggerating in reading, internet time, and/or television shows this week. Make it a competition to see who can come back to the table with the most or best examples and use them to talk about how exaggerating distorts the truth and about the difference that words like always, never, everybody, everywhere, all might make as we work to practice Honesty.
