Parents! Resources are available for interpreters. If you would like a translator to assist at your child's conferences please email Ms. Cox or Mrs. Ryan at els@cherrycreekacademy.org before Thursday, September 22. In your email, please state your name, your child's name, what language you speak, when your conference is, and with the teacher(s) you will be meeting with. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Parents I would like to remind you all about a couple of important procedures we have at Cherry Creek Academy. If you have any questions, please let me know by emailing me at Sloomis@cherrycreekacademy.org.

Attendance: If your student(s) are going to be absent you must email attendance@cherrycreekacademy.org or call 303-779-8988 x 290. When you call or email me, please include your students first and last name, spelling of the last name and the reason for the absence. If your student is going to miss three or more days due to a vacation, we ask that you fill out a "notice of extended school absence" and return it to the front office. If your student misses three or more days due to being sick, a doctor's note is recommended so the absences can continue to be excused.

We are currently planning to bring back the tradition of sending our 8th graders on a trip to Washington D.C. and New York City in May of 2023. We will host an informational night on Wednesday, October 5th, from 5:30-6:30 in our innovation space. If you are interested in sending your student on the trip in the spring, please plan on attending this event.

The Scholastic Book Fair is back! During the week of September 26-30, 2022 the book fair will be open the following hours:

Monday - Wednesday: 7:30 am- 4:00 pm

Thursday: 7:30 am - 8:00 pm (DOUBLE VOLUNTEER HOURS EARNED FROM 4-8pm)

Friday: 8 am - 12:00 pm (DOUBLE VOLUNTEER HOURS EARNED THIS DAY FROM 8-2PM)

Wednesday, September 28, 2022 we will be taking all sports photos at 3:30 pm in the Gym. If you are in a sport this season please plan on being here for photos.

As a part of our Veterans Day Assembly, scheduled for November 11, 2022 at 8 am, we would like to honor the brave people in our community who have served or are currently serving in the military. To include a member of the military to be honored during our assembly please share their name and the branch of the military they served in or are currently serving in, an optional picture, and bio or information about their time serving in the link below. Thank you for your participation. This year we will invite those Veterans, as well as families of students and members of our community to our school to join us for our in person assembly.

CCA is so excited to present an author visit with Dion Leonard, the author of Finding Gobi. Mr. Leonard and Gobi will be appearing at CCA on September 20th and will be presenting to all grade levels. His book is written in three different versions to meet the grade levels of all of our students. This is such a fun opportunity for our students! CCA is working on introducing a new club: National Junior Honor Society. NJHS elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship, the five pillars of the organization. Not only recognizing students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
