Holiday Donations

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the holidays are approaching, it is time to prepare our annual gift bags for our Osceola Science teachers and staff members!

Help us show our teachers and staff members how much we appreciate them by donating gift cards or by making a monetary donation, so that we can purchase gift cards for them. Popular gift cards are Target, Barnes & Noble, Publix, and Amazon.

Gift card donations may be dropped off at the front desk and monetary donations may be provided using the SCHOOLPAY link below.

As always, we are thankful for your support and wish you a Happy Holiday Season!

Holiday Toy Drive & Jingle Bell Jog

Now through December 13th OSCS is participating in a Holiday Toy drive for children in need. Families are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped, toys and books, because every child deserves to open up something this holiday season. Please see the flyer below for more information.

Club Spotlight

Running Club Jaramillo.

This club is excellent for students who enjoy running or those who would like to start!

During Running Club, students do a series of stretches to warm up, then practice some long distance running with a mile run. Club members also do some interval training by sprinting 20 yards and walking back 20 times. Often, club is ended with some competitive racing where the runners partner up and race each other to the finish line 40 yards or so down the field. Running Club will be doing a lot of long distance running from now until March, as they prepare for the Smile Mile race. We want our runners to be well prepared! Sometimes the coaches set up an obstacle course using cones and jump ropes that they either have to run around or jump over. Next week, the club will have some new equipment, kid-friendly hurdles!

Below is a link to the Smile Mile in case anyone would like more information.
