Puppy Pound

Welcome back!
We started off a little sleepy on Monday. We spent time writing down some of the things we saw, did, and ate and then shared our information with friends to see what they did over the break.
Skill Blitz
Having 2 weeks off means forgetting some of the expectations around the building. Dr. Scaletta reminded us of our hallway expectations and then had us practice.
Skill Blitz
Mrs. Frontera had us practice the lunchroom procedures and expectations right before lunch.
Math tubs
We did not forget how to create using our magnetic tiles.
Math
Learning place value with unifix cubes. Counting sets of 10 is quicker than counting them individually.
New Year's
We brainstormed ways we could improve ourselves for 2019. We had some amazing goals like reading more, raising our hands to speak, and learning our math facts.
Buddies
Building a snowman with our buddies was a lot of fun. We rolled the dice, read the number and drew the matching snowman part. First one to finish their snowman was the winner.
Snowmen at Night
After reading the story, we wrote about what our snowmen might do at night. Some were going to have an awesome snowball fight, or play Roblox, or build a snowman friend!
Math
Students do a great job explain their own thinking when it comes to math problems.
Top Dog
Stella was our Top Dog. Her favorite animal is a dog . She loves to eat tacos. She is pawsome at gymnastics and art.. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher.
