Mrs. Barner's Class
I'm so excited to kick off the 2019-2020 school year! This will be my 20th year teaching 4th grade! I love reading books, studying authors, developing good writers, and making memories that will last forever!!!!
As you get to know me this year, you will see that I love telling stories about my family and experiences.
I have a daughter going into 2nd grade and a son entering 6th grade. My husband and I just celebrated our 15th anniversary and we moved from McKinney, TX about one year ago. We have enjoyed meeting new friends in Brock and can officially call this "home".
Did you know???
If I could have any other job besides teaching, I would be a voice-over for a cartoon character in a Disney movie.
If I had a choice to be indoors or outdoors...I would be OUTside for sure!
I grew up in a smaller town than Brock...Throckmorton, TX.
I played basketball, was a cheerleader, a twirler, and I can weld.
I love green olives.
I love running and Crossfit.
I took a hot air balloon ride, and although I'm scared of heights, I enjoyed every minute of the experience.
My favorite book is Out of My Mind (or maybe it's The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane).
I have only one sibling (an older sister) who is an incredible Science teacher for Throckmorton ISD.
My parents have a llama and his name is Richard. He's awesome and I wanted to see just how gentle he was!!!
B and Me
Barrett and I love to run! At first we both had our own set of earbuds...listening to our own music, but then one day we decided to spend our time talking about our day (highs and lows). I love it because it's our quality time together and we bonded as a mother and son.
Mallory and I can get a little crazy with all the SnapChat filters.
B and Me
We love having family game night. Our favorites are: UNO, Scategories, and Trouble
In our neighborhood, we love casting a reel and trying to get a good catch! On this day, Mallory was the only one to catch a fish! He's small...but he "counts".
Mallory and Barrett
Mallory is going into SECOND grade.
Barrett is going into SIXTH grade.
