What a Stage Looks Like...

The Dynamic of the Stage...

Plays Vs. Movies

-Audience can interact with the actors
-Occurring live...oh the energy!
-Line memorization
-Setting is pretty stagnant because changing scenery is difficult
-Stage directions (left, right, forward, etc.) are for the actors, not the audience
-The italicized sections before dialogue signify the way the actor is supposed to speak or act. These cues are not read aloud to the audience.
