Hawk Happenings
October 12th -16th
Here's what's happening at Spring Lake...
FALL BREAK is only a few short days away. There will be no school on Thursday or Friday of this week. We hope you enjoy some quality time with your family!
RED RIBBON WEEK is coming up the week of October 26th - 29th. The PTA has some fun events planned. Please see the flyer below with all the details.
OUR HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES will be held on Thursday, October 29th as there is no school on Friday, October 30th. Students are invited to dress up in their costumes. In order to stay safe, we will not have a traditional Halloween Parade, but will be sending out a broadcast to parents that afternoon to watch and enjoy.
OUR REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST is now underway. An email was sent last week giving all the details and detailed information can also be found on our Website, Facebook page and in this newsletter. Fall break would be a great time to have your students create some art to enter in the contest.
Have a wonderful (short) week!
PS - BE SURE TO SCROLL THROUGH THE NEWSLETTER TO SEE THE SEPTEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH!

Congratulations to our September Students of the Month!
We celebrated with a "Resilience Roundup" which included a visit to "Resilience Ridge" to learn more about what resilience means, an obstacle course at the "I'm O.K. Corral" and a visit to an old fashioned ice cream parlor on wheels. It was fun day for students at our first socially distanced SOAR "assembly".

COVID UPDATE AND NEW QUARANTINE GUIDELINES
We received word from the Governor's office last week that state-wide quarantine guidelines have changed. Effective immediately, those who are exposed to someone who has tested positive can be tested (after the 7th day of quarantine) and if the results are negative, that person can return to work or school. The 14 day quarantine will still apply for those who choose not to be tested.
