Speaker Update

Please arrive no later than 7:45pm. In an effort to further promote accountability and prompt arrival time for the President's Speaker Series, you will be REQUIRED to CHECK IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE. Upon arriving to the concert hall please find the appropriate table according to the first letter of your last name and proceed to that table. Check-in will end when the doors to the Concert Hall close at 8pm.

If you are not able to attend the speaker please fill out this FORM with your name and excused reason. Thank you!

Mandatory President's Speaker Series - Susan Komives

Tuesday, April 15th, 7:45pm

You may recognize her from your Leadership Studies courses, famous to the PLP student body for her book, Exploring Leadership. Susan R. Komives is Professor Emeritus of College Student Affairs at the University of Maryland. She is lead author of the Leadership Identity Development model research and is currently is co-principal investigator of the Multi-institutional Study of Leadership project, a 100 + campus study of college student leadership outcomes and campus practices that contribute to those outcomes. Susan was a member of the ensemble that developed the Social Change Model of Leadership Development. She earned her M.S. and B.S. at Florida State University and an Ed.D. from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Senior Celebration Award Nomination Form

In a few short weeks we will celebrate the PLP Class of 2014 during the annual PLP Senior Celebration Ceremony. This event is an opportunity to acknowledge the accomplishments of the graduating class and honor 3 seniors who have had a significant impact at CNU.

You do not have to be a senior to nominate someone! If you fill out the form, you will be automatically entered for a chance to WIN a coffee date with a staff member of your choosing.

Give back to the local Community Boys & Girls Clubs by donating items to support KDR in making Easter a special holiday for the children. Possible donations: shoes, clothes, sporting equipment, anything you feel a kid in need would enjoy!

Check out the latest additions to the PLP Passport Calendar! Find events on the "Development" page on Scholar, or on the PresLead calendar (designated as "Passport Destination"). Destinations are added throughout the semester so be sure to check back often to find events that are of interest to YOU! You can even contribute your ideas to the Passport Calendar! Simply complete the following form and one of your trusted Development pros in the PLP office will contact you about adding the event. Stand 4 Freedom 2014

Tuesday, April 8th, 2pm to Wednesday, April 9th, 5pm

IJM @ CNU will be hosting our second annual Stand For Freedom event to raise awareness, funds, signatures, and more justice advocates surrounding our CNU community. Please join us in taking time to raise a voice for the voiceless!

Starting on Tuesday April 8th at 2pm until Wednesday April 9th at 5:00pm, IJM at CNU will be standing for 27 hours to represent the 27+ million people who are enslaved today. We will have petitions that students can sign to raise their voices on the issue of sex trafficking and human slavery needing to become a bigger priority with the State Department.

Starting at 3:30 we have guest speakers from Empower ( , Release Me International (, and our very own First Lady sharing stories on how students CAN make an impact on the fight against modern day slavery and sex trafficking.

Senior Celebration Slideshow Pictures - DEADLINE EXTENDED!

We need at least one picture (max of 5) of each graduating senior for the end of the year slideshow, which will be shown at Senior Celebration on Thursday, May 8th. This picture can be representative of the time you have had in the program or at CNU (can be a group photo, doesn't have to be just you!). Just remember that mom and grandma will be looking for your photo, don't disappoint them by not sending one in! Send to by Friday, April 11th.
