Big picture

Back to school time can be a very anxious time for students, especially those transitioning into middle school. Below is an article on Back to School Anxiety and suggestions to help with this.

School guidance counselors are always available to help as is the school nurse. There are many resources we can offer to help your student cope with anxiety. The health room has an "Anxiety Tool Box" which includes teen appropriate coloring pages, journals, stress balls, worry stones, books to borrow, worksheets, suggestions for apps for student's phones to help with anxiety as well as other resources to help with relaxation.

Please contact your student's counselor or the Certified School Nurse if you feel your student is struggling with anxiety and needs assistance.
