Third Grade in the News!

December 8th - December 12th

What We Are Learning This Week

Math with Mrs. Moore: Students have been working very had this week on math! I can tell many of them practiced their math facts over the break so thank you for your support on that! Next week, we will be practicing multiplying a two digit number by another two digit number. We teach a strategy called partial products as well as the standard algorithm. Please work with your students at home on this if possible!


Science with Mrs. Naragon: This week, we will be participating in the hour of code. See more information and the video below!


Social Studies with Mrs. Naragon: We will be continuing our studies of historical figures who have shaped our community such as Clara Barton and Helen Keller.


Language Arts with Mrs. Trueblood- We will be focusing on characteristics of nonfiction texts. We will be working on our holiday/ culture books.
