Week 8
Week 8 Notes
This week, I'm thankful for two things. First, I'm thankful that we have parents that are as involved as all of you are. Our conferences were full from start to finish and I was excited to see our turnout for Mrs. Restivo's presentations, too. I tell the staff this often, but the level of parent involvement and the response at Richfield Middle School is atypical. Parents at our school are responsive, supportive, and want to know what's going on at school so they can reinforce it at home. Thank you for taking an interest in your child's education. I'm also thankful for our staff at RMS. Wednesday was a long day for everyone, and they all returned on Thursday and Friday ready to go. We're lucky to work with the professionals we do in this building.
Question of the Week
This week is a great opportunity to goal-set with your children. We're over halfway through the first trimester. Now that you've had your first conference, I encourage you to ask your child "What comment from your teacher stood out to you?" It's very important to make sure that you and your child heard and understood the same messages.
Thank You
Jeff Carron

Kindness Club Members Are Working to Make a Difference in the Community!
The students belonging to Kindness Club are dedicating the month of October to provide hope and support to those in need in our community. They have created posters, decorated
donation boxes, and have brought in items of their own to donate.
We are asking you to consider making a donation to the Joy House in Milwaukee. They are desperately in need of winter clothing items, specifically for women and children. The items can be new or gently used! Donation boxes are located outside of the main office and outside of Mrs. Restivo’s door. We are collecting items throughout the month of October. Please consider donating to this wonderful organization so everyone in Wisconsin can stay warm this winter!
Items being collected:
*Winter hats, gloves, and scarves
*Winter coats, snow pants, and boots
Thank you,
