Harrington Happenings
January 8, 2023
Happy Sunday and Happy New Year Harrington Families!
Happy New Year Harrington! I hope that everyone had a wonderfully restful and happy holiday break. As we enter into a new year, we continue our focus on creating an inclusive learning environment where the consistent goal is the social, emotional and academic growth of all of our amazing students.
Starting this week, the students will be working through their mid-term assessments. I anticipate substantial and consistent student growth across the curriculum. Harrington is a strong academic community where the expectations regarding student development and learning is the forefront to this communities success.
Please remember that this coming Tuesday, January 10th is a half-day. School will be dismissed at 11:45 , ensure that you put this in your calendars.
DISMISSAL REMINDER:
Please remember that if you are changing the way in which your student will be dismissed on a particular day please send in a note with your student, or call the main office. Teachers will follow the consistent plans of that day unless there is notification from a parent/guardian to them directly. Students can be confused on dismissal plans which causes extensive confusion and a delay in the dismissal process. Again, please send in a note or call the office if you change the way your student will be getting home on any particular day.
Thank you for your continued support of Harrington. We are an inclusive community, a special community, a community that will continue to support each other.
Please ensure that you are receiving all communications from the school and that your contact information is up to date. If at any time you have changed your contact information, please let the school know so we can update our systems.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our Harrington community. Please reach out to me or Karen with any questions or concerns as always.
Once again, remember to…"Push through your day, Smile, Be Happy, Stay Positive!"
Be safe! Stay well!

Grade 2 collected over 400 hats, gloves and mittens for the Make-A-Wish Project! It was an outstanding effort for the entire community, and thanks to the organization of the grade 2 team, many people will have warm heads and hands this coming winter. Excellent job grade 2!
