Panther Nation! It's Time to Order your Yearbook!
Time to Vote-One more week
Early Voting Continues Through February 26 (Friday)
The Texas Primary Election is March 1.
Participation by educators is critically important, as the primary result often determines the overall election result in Texas! Many education organizations have put together websites and materials to assist educators in getting out the vote. Note: The Texas Parent PAC, a bipartisan political action committee for parents and others who support high-quality public education, has released its list of endorsements of Texas legislative candidates. SHISD does not endorse its views, information is for voter information only.
Panther Nation, You have heard me talk about the upcoming elections for a while now. You can see from the signs around campus that early voting has started. I cannot stress the importance of voting in this election. Defend public schools! Defend your TRS benefits! Defend your profession! Get educated and Go Vote!
Critical State open positions that directly affect us:
- Texas House of Representatives
- Texas Senate
- State Board of Education
