November 2016

Dear Families,

Ponderosa students and staff have been busy wrapping up the first trimester. Thank you families for meeting with teachers and talking about your wonderful children. A strong relationship between home and school makes for a successful student.

This month I will be with my family supporting my son who is having reconstructive ear surgery. Jeff Marcus, a retired PUSD administrator, will be the administrator in charge. Have a great November and enjoy your families during Thanksgiving break.

Take care,

Betsy Amis

Principal of Ponderosa

We would like to send out a big "Thank you!" out to Vickie's Kitchen for donating their entire profit ($500) from Carnival/Movie Night, to PEP, and for working so hard to feed the hungry, happy carnival goers!

Save the Date- Dec. 16th- Winter Concert

Please plan on attending a wonderful winter concert put on by our amazing PEP club. There will be musicians, crafts, hot cocoa and a bake sale. It will be a great night for families to enjoy the holiday season.

All students, K through 5th grade, have taken the diagnostic test and are now working on lessons at their level. Students can access iReady at home too. Students just need their username and password to access it at home. iReady is a great program that will help all students achieve in Math and Literacy.
