The Leichtnam Leader
3rd Grade News
Leader of the Week
Bella was our Leader of the Week March 19-23. Bella does a great job each day putting first things first and works very hard to seek first to understand! Keep up the great work!

Spring Break Activities
Your child has brought home two different things they may do while they are on Spring Break next week! (These are completely optional assignments.)
- Spring Break Journal: Whether your family is traveling far away or staying close, your child can complete their Spring Break Journal! They may write about what they did each day and include a picture in the rectangle. They can either draw a picture or if you would like to print out pictures and glue them in you may! We will take time to share our journals Monday, April 9th when we return!
- Elapsed Time Activity: No matter where you are traveling (to the grocery store, airport, Alabama, grandma's house, etc.) your child can see how long it takes them to get there! They may complete the yellow Elapsed Time Activity to practice their time telling!
Go Wolves!
We had a great time watching the Clarkston Varsity Basketball game last Friday! We made posters in the morning and students even led chants and cheers as the game was going on!
M-STEP Testing
Believe it or not our 3rd graders are about to start getting ready to take the M-STEP May 15-17. Here at school we have started to talk about it more and more in order to get our minds ready! It's not something to be afraid of! Rather, it's something to be prepared for!
What can you do at home to help your child?
- Tell them to just do their best!
- Let them know that they'll be ready!
- Help them practice their typing! Have your child log into Typing Club (https://clarkstonschools.edclub.com/) using their Clarkston Google account information!
As the M-STEP gets closer, there will be more information coming about what else we can do to get our kiddos ready!
