THE JSL MONTHLY
JURISolutions' January Employee Newsletter
A WORD FROM OUR CEO
Although I realize I may be in the minority (especially among my long-faced children returning to school after break), I LOVE the beginning of January! I see this as a time of enormous opportunity to start fresh, to course correct based on lessons learned the prior year, and to set long-term goals for the year ahead. Optimism is the word that often comes to mind this time of year. It’s hard not to get excited about that!
As everyone in the JURISolutions family begins their fresh start, I wanted to share with you some “New Year’s” thoughts:
Hope may not be a business strategy but you never want to be without it!
Attitude can oftentimes be more important than aptitude, just ask a starving genius!
Passion is the secret sauce when it comes to exceeding our goals, use it generously!
Patience is way more than a virtue; it can be the difference between ultimate success and failure!
Yearning: whatever you go after, you need to want it badly!
New: never stop reinventing and developing new ways to look at issues and solve problems!
Energy: Nothing can happen without the energy. The secret is to harness the energy and use it wisely!
Wisdom comes from lessons learned. Don’t be afraid of past failures. Be grateful for them and learn from them!
You are the most important factor in your success. Don’t ever forget that!
Engagement is the first step towards achieving your goals! You can’t win if you don’t show-up!
Appreciate everything, including the obstacles and the failures!
Relentless determination, that’s what it’s all about!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
OFFICE UPDATES
Meet Our Team
Each month, we will feature one of our fantastic JURISolutions team members so that you can get to know us a little better! This month, we would like to introduce you to Stephanie Warren, Payroll & Invoicing Manager at JURISolutions.
Stephanie Warren
A. My primary responsibilities involve overseeing weekly payroll preparation and processing, employee file and payroll system maintenance, and keeping up employer tax accounts in each state where we have employees working. In addition, I manage all of our invoicing each week.
Q. Processing payroll each week for 100-200 employees must be daunting! What are some pointers for employees and/or clients that might help weekly timecard processing run smoothly?
A. The most helpful thing I could ask is for timesheets to be submitted and approved as soon as possible. When people are able to get approved timesheets to us early, the week runs smoother and I have more time to help employees who have questions or issues.
Q. Is the accounting team focused on any initiatives that will help increase efficiency for JURISolutions’ employees and/or clients in 2016?
A. This month, we are launching a new onboarding system that I think we are all anxiously anticipating. When it is fully rolled out, I believe it will lead to a smoother and more pleasant onboarding experience for both our employees and our clients. We have a few other ideas for later this year, but it’s too soon to make any announcements just yet.
