On Tuesday February 6, we will have our STAAR Interim Reading Test. On Tuesday February 13, we will have our STAAR Interim Math Test. We will be starting testing at 8 AM and we will test straight through to lunch! We will have Special Areas in the afternoon so students can get a real feel for the STAAR day. Please ensure your child has a good nights sleep and breakfast to power their brain in the morning!
Parent Teacher Conferences:
Please keep an eye out for a Sign Up Genius from your child's teacher! Parent conferences in the spring semester are optional! However, if your child scored in the red on the MAP test, then we will request that you partake in a conference.
Valentine's Day:
We will not be having a class party on February 14. However, we will still be doing Valentine exchanges! We are asking each student to create a valentine box at home and bring it to school. These do not have to be elaborate or expensive! Feel free to cover a cereal/tissue box with white paper and let your kiddo color & draw on it. I will have gallon sized Ziploc bags available for students who do not bring a box! We are also asking students to bring valentines for their classmates. As always, this is an optional activity, but if you bring valentine cards please bring one for everyone. Also, please only fill in the from portion of the valentine, it will make distribution so much easier. There are 19 students in each class 🙂
