AVID Demonstration Site Confirmed!
In preparation for the visit it is essential that all team members understand the why behind our decision to implement AVID strategies school-wide. Simply stated, the organization, time management and self-efficacy skills acquired in AVID classrooms are exactly what students need to successfully to navigate college. Our commitment to implement AVID practices school-wide ensures all students are college and career ready.

AMS Soccer Game
On May 27th at 3:30 we will gather around the track as a school community and watch our soccer team exhibit their skills. Details will be forthcoming.
Key Action 1
Increase the number of students performing at the College and Career Ready level as measured by STAAR EOC, AP, ACP, SAT, ACT exams and industry certifications by ensuring students receive high quality first instruction using a PBL model that fosters high levels of engagement supported by technology.
Key Action 2
Throughout the PBL cycle, ensure the curriculum is aligned to standards, accurately assessed and the resulting data utilized to provide improved instructional practice and strategic intervention. Specific attention will be given to underperforming student groups to ensure all students are prepared for a competitive global society.
