Retirement Celebration
Thankfullness.... by Jacki Sellmansberger
With this being the month of Thanksgiving, I have tried to be more aware of everyday things I have to be thankful for. Of course, there are all the things that I usually mention in my writing involving my precious family and life away from school, but I wanted to focus on my life here at Nesbit. I have the privilege of being involved with so many people because of the nature of my job on the Sunshine Committee. I have the opportunity to hear about the struggles and victories that many of you experience throughout the year. I am so thankful for you sharing your lives with me. I am thankful for those I share my office with each day: Fred, who encourages me to eat healthy, AnnMarie, who keeps me up to date on the latest news, and Lisa, who understands the joy in sharing our latest grandkids’ antics. I am thankful for my car rider partners, who stand with me in the rain and make me laugh, Mary, Danni, Julie, Kamilah, and Charitza.
And then there are all those wonderful teachers who allow me the opportunity to come into their rooms and work with their students…Thank-you Heather, Adorne, Devin, Juso, Taquelia, Keith, and Erin. Each of you are so different, and yet, a pleasure to work with. And lastly, I find great joy in teaching my students each day, knowing I have an opportunity to make a difference in their lives, even if it’s just for this year. I could go on and on, and talk about all the dear friendships I have here at Nesbit, or how I appreciate the A-team being so positive in their encouragement, but let it suffice to say, I only have to come in the door at Nesbit and I know I am blessed!
Continue to keep Cynthia Saffo and Jocelyn Garrison in your thoughts and prayers. More details to come about how we can help them will be sent out this week.Dates to Remember
