What is Oceanography?
Oceanography, also known as oceanology, is the scientific research/study of of all characteristics of the oceans, their boundaries, and their contents. Major parts of this type of study are concerned with the physical nature of the oceans, their chemical and mineral constituents, the great variety of living things that inhabit the oceans, and the geological structure of the ocean floor.
Alvin
Alvin is a submersible that different oceanographers. The sub can dive up to 14,750 feet down in the ocean.
Dr. Robert D. Ballard
Ballard is a professor at URI (University of Rhode Island). He is also a well known in the field of oceanography.
The Titanic
The Titanic is one of the many discoveries that well known oceanographers have discovered.

Oceans
