If you are interested in signing up for a Fall Club, please use the Sign-Up Genius that will be sent to you by email on Tuesday, August 27th at 6am. All of the clubs have limited space available for members. It is first come first serve! If you have specific questions about a club please feel free to email the club sponsor. School-Wide Leadership Roles
Student Badges
This year, teachers will keep track of students without badges.
- If a student does not have their badge for a third day, the student will be sent to the office at the beginning of their recess.
- Students will call their parents to make a plan to have a badge the following day.
- If they do not have their badge (or $5.00 for a replacement) the following day, students will return to the office at the beginning of their recess. This will continue until an appropriate plan has been made and implemented.
- Students will be provided one replacement badge, if needed, free of charge. After the first free replacement badge, there will be a $5.00 fee for each additional badge issued.
Attendance
Attendance is one of the most important factors in academic achievement and we would like your help regarding attendance and punctuality. When students arrive late or leave early consistently, they miss important instructional time. Missouri guidelines require 90% of our students to be in attendance 90% of the time. To help meet this goal, Park Hill has established expectations for attendance and letters will be sent to families if the following attendance percentages are not met.
Level 1: Attendance rate of 90%
Level 2: Attendance rate between 85% and 90%
Level 3: Attendance rate is below 80%
Ms. Hart, our School Social Worker, will be working with students and families to make sure we meet the 90/90 goal at Southeast Please help us by making being at school a priority for your family.
If your child does have to be absent, please call the school office (359-4360) to report the student's absence. If the school does not receive a call when a student is absent, we will attempt to contact you to check on the student.
Social Worker Spotlight
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing tips and facts to help improve attendance.
- Tip of the week-- Prepare your child for successful mornings. Try setting an alarm, having your child lay out their outfit the night before, and having backpacks and shoes ready. Also, make sure your child has a filling breakfast at home, or that they arrive on time to have breakfast with friends at school. Smoother mornings make getting to school on time much easier!
Car Rider Instructions
- Drop-off will take a very long time. Please allow a great deal of time to get through the line.
- Please consider sending your child on the bus. Buses will have first priority through the traffic.
- The line of cars will wait on Northwood. Staff members will direct the traffic into and through the lot. Please pay close attention to their instructions and to the signs.
- Please do not allow your child out of the car until a staff member says it’s OK.
- Please have your child exit on the right side of the car. Only the student should leave the car.
Transportation Changes
If your student is going to have different transportation, a note or phone call from the parent must accompany the request. Please contact the office prior to 2pm to request a change in transportation. Bus changes will only be issued for changes in daycare or for the safety of the student. If an alternative person is checking out your student, the person must have their ID scanned.
If you are picking your child up prior to the end of the school day, please arrive in the office prior to 3pm. Parents who arrive after 3:10pm, will need to wait until dismissal begins for their child to be called out of class.
Walker Instructions
- Please put your child on the school bus. Unless you can walk with your child all the way to and from the door, please do not have your child walk to school.
- Walking paths will be blocked by construction and will be dangerous for children.

To be able to access your child’s information, you must set up an account. You will need to log-in and enter the GUID code, followed by setting up your own username and password.
Infinite Campus organizes students by household, so you can access your family in just one account. If you have questions, need technical support, or have misplace your unique access key code, feel free to call us at 816-359-4360.
Food Services: Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Breakfast starts at 8:20 AM. Please refer to the monthly menu for specific meal selections. Menus are available here.
Park Hill offers automated prepayments to a child’s meal account via telephone or internet. Money can be applied to a child’s food service account so children will not need to carry cash to school. If you do not have your child’s meal pay number, please contact the office. Adults using this system may also view a child’s purchases, account activity and set up e-mail notifications for low account balances. Please note: A $2 service fee is charged per transaction regardless of the amount being added to the account. However, money can be applied to multiple student accounts for a single transaction fee. If that is not your preference, payment envelopes are available in the cafeteria. Parents who would like to set up a School Café Account can go to www.schoolcafe.com. You must have your student’s school, ID number, and birthdate to establish a School Café account.
An application of free/reduced meal pricing is available in the school office or on the School; Cafe online system. We encourage everyone who qualifies to complete an application.
Student Breakfast $1.50
Student Lunch $2.40
Milk $.60
Juice $.40
Adult Breakfast $2.00
Adult Lunch without milk $3.50
Early Release Dates
All elementary schools will have an early release, once a month, for our teachers to receive professional development focused on increasing student success. On early release dates, all elementary schools release at 1:30 PM. Below you will find the dates for the 2019-2020 school year. Early release transportation arrangements must be communicated with your child’s teacher. At Back to School Night forms will be available, for parents to complete, regarding after school and early release transportation arrangements. If transportation changes need to be made, throughout the year, please contact your child’s teacher or the Southeast Office.

Do You Know A Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Southeast Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities throughout the year on the Southeast website , Facebook, Twitter and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you by the school with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call, email, or stop by the school with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
