Oratorical Contest: Student participants are excited and preparing for the big day (February 2nd) when they will recite their poems for everyone in attendance. Mark your calendar. You won't want to miss it.

Black History Program: Teachers and students are practicing their classroom performances for the program on Friday, February 17, 2023. Auditions for separate performances are complete. Finalists will find their name on the bulletin board in the main lobby tomorrow.

Intent to Enroll New Students for the 2023/2024: If you or someone you know have a child that you want to enroll next school year, please submit an Intent to enroll by clicking here : https://icefps.schoolmint.com/login. THIS IS FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY!

Intent to Return for grades (TK - 4th Grade). Thank you to all of the families that have confirmed their child will return for the 2023/2024 school year. If you have not confirmed your child, you only have this week to do it. Open registration for new students begins February 1. All open seats will be posted for enrollment. Please contact Ms. Jewell in the main office if you have any questions or concerns.

CALKIDS: You child should have received their school ID last week. Students who did "Make Up" pictures will received their IDS in a couple of weeks. Please look on the back of your child's ID and you will find their SSID #. You will need that number to find our if your child is eligible for the $500 College Savings fund sponsored by the state of California. Go to Calkids.org to check eligibility. Feel free to contact Ms. Jewell if you have any questions.

Birthday Party Reminder: ALL birthday parties must be approved by your child's teacher, 2 weeks in advance. Parties can only be on Fridays @2:30pm (TK-2nd) and 2:45pm (3-5). No parties will be approved on the last Friday of the month (Fun Friday). Please contact Ms. Jewell if you have any questions.

In an effort to promote wellness to begin the year, ICEF's Embrace the Mind team has collaborated with the South Central Training Consortium team to provide FREE wellness services (counseling/therapy/parent groups) to help parents/guardians cultivate positive relationships and practice self care. Services are voluntary, confidential, and free. *Services are offered; in person, virtual, and via telephone in both English and Spanish.*
