Greetings from the Principal:
Dear Falcon Families,
As we jump into October, I will be the first to tell you that it gets busy. And sometimes, the little things can get in the way of the big things. That's why it's so important to take a moment and understand Covey's Habit #2, Begin With the End In Mind. Students will be learning all about how to develop their own personal mission statement and be true to it in difficult moments. It fits in perfectly with Peace & Kindness Week. How do you want others to perceive you? The little choices you make each and every day define who you are and how you make the hard decisions when they arise.
Many organizations have a written mission statement to keep ‘the end in mind’ as the overarching purpose for which the organization constantly strives to achieve. Riverview’s Mission Statement reads “At Riverview Elementary, all stakeholders are dedicated to empowering each student to achieve his or her full potential.” Our staff strives to ensure that our actions are guided by this mission statement as ‘the end in mind’ for students. Through a shared mission statement, everyone’s actions and goals are aligned, helping produce stellar results for our children.
Sincerely,
Beth Mildren
Principal
