4th Grade News!
We are finishing up our 4th learning experience on inferring and finding text structure. We are wrapping up looking at infographics and interpreting their data and making inferences from them. Our 5th learning experience will begin next week reading the novel, Wonder. We will be looking at point of view as well as character, setting and events.
4th grade is working on FRACTIONS! We have been working on equivalent, comparing and putting fractions on a number line before the snow blizzard came! Now, we are moving into adding and subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators. See the link below for assistance.
WE WILL BE RECEIVING CRAYFISH AND BESS BEETLES! Yay! The kids are going to observe structures of both creatures and compare and contrast. Students will also begin growing plants in soil as well as hydroponically.
We have started our research projects on their own selected topic. Ask your child their topic...Colonial Maryland, An African American Leader or one of the Seven Wonders of the World. They will research, take notes, and write an information piece and then present their research via technology!
