2021-2022 WKMS Bell Schedule

Food and Drink!

Breakfast and lunch meals are both free this year for White Knoll Middle School students. We hope many students will choose to take advantage of this opportunity.

Water fountains are closed due to COVID and safety precautions. Please have your child bring a clear plastic water bottle (already filled) each day to stay hydrated. We thank you in advance.

Important Menu Update: Last minute menu changes are occurring frequently and are out of our control due to the nationwide food supply chain issues. Menus on Meal Viewer may not reflect these changes. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions regarding your school’s menu, feel free to reach out to the cafeteria manager.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

COVID Care

To keep all students and staff as safe as possible this year, we encourage frequent hand washing, sanitizing hands when entering and exiting classrooms, and social distancing when possible.

As always, if your student is feeling ill, please keep him/her at home to help prevent the spread of germs. We truly appreciate all you do from the home front to help keep our community healthy.

Dress Code

Please be aware of our district dress code by visiting page 33 of the Student Handbook. Our goal is to keep students learning in classes and eliminate the need to call a parent/guardian to come bring a change of clothing due to a dress code violation. Quick reminders: shorts should be finger-tip length, no spaghetti strap tops or showing of the midriff area, and no hats, please. We appreciate you working with us to help make this year a great one for all!

How Do We Contact You?

As we enter this second year of this Covid craziness, we want to make sure that all families are well-aware of the happenings in our school/district and don't want anyone to be left out. To do this, good communication is more important than ever. If any of your contact information has changed recently, please email Tammy Wise at twise@lexington1.net, so she can enter the correct information into PowerSchool. Thank you!

Congrats to Our August & September Positive Referrals!

Come Cheer on our Volleyball Team!

The War Hawk Volleyball team started out their season with scrimmages against Newberry Middle School and Carolina Springs Middle School. Although the outcomes weren't what we had hoped for, we learned from every point played and came off the court stronger. After a week of tough practices, we're ready to face off against Pleasant Hill Middle School in our first home game on August 31st!

Interested in Basketball?

Basketball tryouts for girls and boys are taking place the first week in November. A parent and their student athlete must have separate accounts that are linked together in Planet High School once created. All the paperwork in www.planeths.com must be complete before tryouts or you cannot tryout. This includes a physical dated after April 1, 2021.

Boys will also be required to get a separate character and academic form filled out from Coach Sellars. These will be provided closer to tryouts. Boys must have all paperwork and the character/academic form filled out by the day of tryouts in order to tryout.

Girls Basketball will have an interest meeting the first week of October. A date will be solidified closer to that time.

If you have any questions contact the following:

Boys Basketball - Coach Sellars via email jpsellars@lexington1.net or call 821-4334.

Girls Basketball - Coach Richardson via email jrichardson@lexington1.net or call 821-4378
