Cooper Landing, Hope, and Moose Pass Schools

April 11, 2022

A Note from Mr. Hayman

RE: Small Schools Administration

Dear Hope, Moose Pass, and Cooper Landing Families,

It has been a pleasure and a growing experience for me to serve your communities. As many of you already know, I will be working with the Connections Home School program next year so my current duties are in the process of reassignment.

For our Moose Pass families, administrative support will come from Mr. Matt Potter. Matt is currently principal/teacher at Seward Middle school so this assignment will mean he will be full time administrator accessible by both Moose Pass School and Seward Middle School. Congratulations Mr. Potter! You will certainly enjoy the Moose Pass community.

For our Hope and Cooper Landing Schools, Cindy McKibben will serve as your building administrator. Cindy is currently the lead interventionist and district assessment coordinator. Her duties will shift in order for her to fully support the Hope and Cooper Landing communities. Congratulations Mrs. McKibben.

I will work with both of these administrators as well as the new Tustumena administrator to assure communications are clear and the transitions are smooth.

Again, it has been a pleasure working with these communities.

Douglas W. Hayman

Hope School Happenings

Congratulations to Ellie Stehn. Ellie is an elementary student who read over six thousand pages during the Readathon. All of the students did and amazing job reading. Congratulations to Ella Haas for raising the most funds during the event. Beverly Jabaay did a wonderful job and was only eight dollars from a tie with Ella Haas. It was such a nervous count as the dollars were added up. This has to be one the our students' favorite events. Thank you to our community and family sponsors.

You may register your students online for our 2022-2023 School year on our KPBSD site https://kpbsd.org/students-parents/student-registration/. Additionally, you may come to school on August 11, 2022 between 12:00PM to 4:00 PM or August 12, 2022 between 9:00AM to 1:00PM.
