Mrs. Richardson's and Mrs. Dorothy's Kindergarten Class

May 4 - 8

Due to Field Day on Friday, Weekly Testing will take place on Thursday

Next Week is the Last Week for Testing

I finished up GKIDS last week and this week we will review for our Student Growth Assessment (SGA). At the beginning of the year I gave your student a benchmark test over some of the standards they were to learn this year. Now I will give that same test to see how much academic growth they made.

I will give the students the Student Growth Assessment next week.

This is the last week for homework!!

I know you are as excited about this as your student! This will be the last week for Sight Words, Spelling Words, Math and Writing Homework; however, that doesn't mean that this week's homework is not important. The sight words, math problems and writing will be on next week's End-of-the-Year Assessment. Also, the sight words will be the final 4 words of the 100 the county expects every kindergartner to know.

This is the last week for sight words

This is the last chance for students to earn all 10 of their stars.

The sight words assigned this week completes all 100 words our students are to learn this year. I will test them on THURSDAY. Most of the class has 8 or 9 stars and only if they get all 100 correct on Thursday will they earn all 10 of their Sight Word Stars.

Classroom T-shirts

Everyone is getting a T-shirt!

I am so excited that everyone ordered our classroom t-shirt! Even Dr. Corley will be getting one! I saw and approved the design this week and they are so darn cute. I can't wait for you to see them. We should get them sometime this week and I'll let you know the days we plan to wear them.
