Library Field Trip, Math Pot Luck
Walking Field Trip to the Library Tuesday, March 24th
Dear Parents,
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow Ms. Russo's class is walking to the library. Please remember to return due books and provide library cards to the children. Otherwise, if kids don't bring a library card, they will stay with Mr. Navarro. Please make sure they all go :)

Math Pot Luck - All Encouraged to Attend
We will have Common Core Math night this Thursday evening, March 26th from 5-7pm. There has been a demand all year from many parents for math workshop and this is a great opportunity to get our hands on demonstrated common core math strategies and provided simple explanations about how to help our children at home with common core math and Engage NY. This is a very important, fun and useful teacher led event to attend if we would like to get the break down on common core and be pros in helping our children with math!
There will be potluck before the event. It will take place in the reading garden, from 4:30-5 pm. Please sign up if you would like to contribute to the potluck . Please bring potluck items to the patio outside the teacher's lounge. Here's a link to sign up genius for the potluck:

There also will be Child Care Services available from 6-7pm in the auditorium (after the whole group presentation by Barbara Jacobs from 5-6pm, a district math specialist. She will be discussing the overview of CC math. How well it's done for the kids, where
it's going, what to expect in the future, etc.
