Newtons laws of motion
By: Nina Brown
Newtons first law of motion is Inertia
Newtons law of Inertia is an object will stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force and, and object in motion will stay in motion at the same speed and direction unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Inertia is acted upon this picture. If he wasn't wearing the seatbelt he would fly out the car because an object in motion will stay in motion, unless acted upon an unbalanced force and the seatbelt is the unbalanced force stopping him from flying out his car.
Newtons second law of motion is Acceleration
Newtons law of acceleration is any change of motion. Which is starting, stopping, speeding up, slowing down, and changing directions (turning). The less force applied the smaller the acceleration, The less massive the object the greater the acceleration. See how this sports car is turning that means the car is accelerating. Sports cars don't have that much mass so it will speed up really fast.
Newtons third law of motion Action/reaction
Newtons law of action/reaction is an action force that is equal in size and opposite in direction. This is in the picture of the rocket. A rocket taking off creates an action force of gasses pushing down that causes the reaction force of the rocket going up.

Law of Inertia
Inertia is shown in this picture because the person kicked the ball and the ball will be going on and on until friction will start to slow the ball down until the ball has just stopped. So in this case friction is the unbalanced force to slow the ball down, otherwise if there was no friction the ball will keep going on and on without stopping.
Law of acceleration
compare the sports cars to the trucks. The sports cars have less mass so they will accelerate faster. The trucks have a lot more mass so they will accelerate slower.
Law of action/reaction
This law is used on the balloon because the air of the balloon is pushing downwards causing the balloon to be forced upwards.
