Thank you PTC!!
We had a GREAT assembly on October 30! Kids had a chance to see, touch and learn about wild animals and their habitat. Thank you Wild Things Inc for educating us on such unique animals and thank you to our PTC for covering the costs of this school wide assembly!
A Month of Thanksgiving
As we head into the month of November, it is a wonderful time to reflect on our blessings big or small. Expressing gratitude and finding the positive points in life is healthy for both heart and mind. Each day find a time to tell your children what you are thankful for that day; ask your children to tell you what they are thankful for too!

Election Day, November 6
Please note that several schools in RUSD are designated voting polls. Parker Whitney is one of the voting locations for this election. Local voters will be using our library to cast their votes. We will have the walkway roped off for a limited pathway for the public to exit and enter. This could possibly increase traffic during our drop off and pick up times, so please be patient.
Safety at the Crosswalks
Please use extreme caution and awareness when children and adults are crossing the street during school hours. Even if children are no longer in the crosswalk, PLEASE, do not move your vehicle towards the crosswalk until the crossing guard is safely on the sidewalk curb. Often times, if a crossing guard is still in the crosswalk, children think it is safe to begin crossing. We have had a few near misses lately with our crossing guards as cars begin to roll forward while they are still in the crosswalk. Again, please stay stopped until the crossing guard is safely back on the sidewalk curb.
