Bearcat Praises

Thank you all for another great week at PPIS!!

I am so proud of the progress that we are making this year and am truly blessed to be a part of such an exceptional school. Thank you all for maintaining our high expectations for ourselves and our kids. They are definitely rising to the top and it's exciting to see their growth throughout the year.

Thanks to all our MATH teachers on completing their mid year M-Star assessments. Across the board we are seeing big gains from the beginning of the year and it's evidence that your hard work is paying off. I've even seen some cases where we do not even have a Tier 3 group anymore which is exceptional!

Thank you Mrs. Sherri Boerner for her flexibility and always being willing to help out. She's definitely had to wear some different hats this year and has just helped us out so much and I appreciate everything she does. Also, thank you Darla for all your help as well! She is another one who we have had to ask to help out in various areas and has really been a big help in getting coverage.

Thank you so much Mr. Johnson's 6th grade math classes for putting together a great resource for our students with STAARI. If you have't seen it then head down the 5th and 6th grade hall to check it out. Students are able to submit STAAR related questions and get a responses within 24 hours. The plans are to move it down to the 3rd and 4th hallway after this initial trial run.

Thank you Mrs. Sudbury, Mrs. Lovick and Mrs. Stadola for organizing our TELPAS training and writing collection schedule. I know this is a daunting and tedious task especially with the number of students we have in the ESL program. I appreciate everything they do to help in this effort.

Thank you Ms. Nisbett for putting together our honor council for the 5th and 6th grade. I have heard so much positive feedback from the students on this and think it is going to be a great thing for our kids and campus!

Congratulations Mrs. Witte!!

Amy was awarded this morning with an almost $3000 grant from the Pilot Point Education Foundation! This money will be used to purchase science lab materials for ALL grade levels! Amy does a fantastic job in her class and truly wants the best for all kids at PPIS. Thank you so much Amy for putting in the work to make this grant happen!
