Quail Valley Swim Team

Summer 2020 | vol. 1

Swim Team Registration is OPEN!

We are pleased to announce that Quail Valley will be having a swim program this summer. Join us as we get back to basics this summer and work on the FUNdamentals of swimming.

To better track participation, we have two registration options this year:

In order to give our coaches time to develop a confirmed practice schedule, registration will be open for two weeks or from May 15-29.

Active Registration Helpful Hints

  • If you are a returning swimmer, then all your information should be preloaded for you. Registration should be easy as you click through the screens.
  • When selecting a group, click on the blue down arrow, click on the name of the group, and select "Pay in full".
  • When registering more than one swimmer, you will "Add Another Registration" on the "Review cart and check out" screen (see below).
  • You will receive a confirmation email, but please print your order summary in case there are issues with registration.

Tentative Practice Schedule

The first day of practice begins Monday, June 1st.

Practice times will be based on the swimmer's age group. The safety and security of our swimmers are of utmost importance to us. Social distancing and routine sanitizing will be practiced every day.

Tentative practice times are as follow:

  • 8:30-9:30 -- 6&U and 9/10
  • 9:30-10:30 -- 8&U
  • 10:30-11:30 -- 11 and up

All times are subject to change based on the number of swimmers registered in each group.

Swim Materials

We are not requiring swimmers to purchase team suits. However, in an effort to help support Augusta Swim Supply, I am including information for the QV Team Login:

Website: https://www.augustaswimsupply.com/teams.cfm

Team username: qv

Team password: 1234

Participants are welcome to purchase other supplies needed such as a practice suit, goggles, personal kickboard, cap, etc.

Kickboards will be made available during practice, as usual, but if you are more comfortable bringing your own then you are welcome to do so. Cleaning protocols will be in place to sanitize boards after each practice session.

Swim Meets

Since there is no formal swim league activity, we will be hosting our own inter-squad meets this season. We are not yet sure what that will look like, but we do know it will involve us having "meets" at our own pool against our own swimmers. It could involve a blue team versus yellow team or four different teams... details are still to be determined.
