Hello Warhawks!
Thank you to our families and staff for a successful spring conferences. The home-school connection is important for our students' growth and we are grateful that we had an opportunity to connect this past week.
The newsletter has updates and resources for you to reference for this week. One highlight I would like to mention is the D200 Speaker Series event scheduled for this week. Dr. Ken Ginsburg will speak on Building Resilience in Uncertain Times this Thursday at 7 pm. Event links and information can be found below.
Please never hesitate to ask for help. Our teachers, social workers, nurse, staff, and administration are here to help. Give our office a call at 815-338-4900 and we will get you connected. Warhawks take care of each other and we are here to work together and support each other.

McHenry County College Career Expo
As a way to assist middle school students explore careers and meet the PaCE standards for students, MCC has created a brief activity to help students explore careers and financial literacy. We hope you will share this activity with your students and encourage everyone to join us the week of February 22nd at 6:00pm to meet with instructors from MCC and business professionals from around the county. Four Career Clusters will be highlighted each night. Students can come one night or every night, but we encourage them to interact with these professionals as they think about the next steps in their educational journey.

We will be having a yearbook this year! You may have received an email from Jostens to order one or you can use the link below.
Our online yearbook offer is live and yearbooks can be purchased at www.jostensyearbooks.com or your direct link of http://jostensyearbooks.com?ref=A02006950 or by phone at 1-877-767-5217.
We plan to have an opportunity for students to have school pictures taken in early March. In person hybrid students will have it taken while they are at school and we hope to have a drive thru option for remote students. More information will be shared once we finalize the details.
Food Services News
District 200 will continue to provide free meals to ALL D200 students, regardless of free, reduced-price, or paid status.
ALL In person hybrid students will be able to pick up food (breakfast/lunch) when they leave each day taey are in the building.

Supporting a love for reading is critical to student success. Explore our online book fair and help your students find their next favorite book! Students can create their online wish lists and share with friends and family.

Yes! Students can check out library books! Students place holds on books through Destiny Discover, our library program, and then library staff makes sure students receive the requested books. Students should contact Mrs. Hinderlider at bhinderlider@wcusd200.org or Ms. Parrent at mparrent@wcusd200.org if they can't remember how to place a hold.

Caudill voting starts now! Students in 4th through 8th grade who have read or listened to at least three of the Caudill nominees are eligible to vote. Voting runs through February 26th, so there is still time to read a few nominees! Please return last school year's D200 library books. You can return the D200 library books to:
- Northwood - our book return bin is outside the building's front doors and is available during the school day weather permitting
- the closest D200 school to you during the school day
- the Woodstock Public Library outside book returns - these are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- at school if you are going in person
