Centerview families,
Happy New Year everyone as we jump into 2021! I hope each of our Centerview Elementary families enjoyed a wonderful winter break. For me, the time away with family and friends was much appreciated. I am ready to take on a new year with gusto!
Before winter break, we received updated guidance on re-opening school for grades preK-6. This week, we have been working on plans to return as many students to at-school learning as soon as possible. We will have more information and an update for all SLP families before the end of this week.
As we come back from break, we are assessing the status of our staff and working through updated health and safety guidance we’ve received. The earliest we can begin a transition to at-school learning is Tuesday, January 19. Our intent is to bring students back five days per week. As we transition to full-time at-school learning, we also will continue to operate our Extended Flexible Learning (distance learning) model for those who have chosen it.
As a Centerview community, we need to be urgently optimistic as we start 2021! Our perseverance and partnership over the past year will triumph over this epidemic. We’ve transitioned multiple times and have learned much as a result. Let’s continue to grow and learn as we support our Centerview little people. They too will remain urgently optimistic when we model and support each of them with a smile, an encouraging remark(s) and we stick together in our next steps. Let’s continue to partner…we’ve got this, let’s do this!
I wish you well and good health as we continue learning together!
Mike
For Extended Flex Learning Families: The New Year
Happy New Year!
I am excited to welcome your families back to Extended Flexible Learning and I am also looking forward to the exciting things 2021 has to bring. I hope each of you and your families had an enjoyable winter break that allowed for good health, relaxation and fun. I did! I am rested, recharged and hopeful for the future.
As we move through the next few weeks you will be receiving updates on the re-opening of school for grades preK-6. I encourage you to read the upcoming newsletters thoroughly, so as not to miss information that may be important to you. I want to note that as this transition take place, SLP will continue to offer distance learning (Extended Flexible Learning) for those who choose it.
As I mentioned above you will be receiving a lot of information in the near future. Should you have questions or need clarification, please feel free to connect with me. I am looking forward to our continued partnership.

Everyone is invited! The event will be virtual, enjoyed from home, is FREE and 100% of the proceeds will support the Panther Pantry and Weekend Food Pack program.
