Dear West TV Families,
This year has gone by remarkably fast. I can't believe we are nearing the end of another great school year. This year has been marked by many wonderful community events and on behalf of the entire staff, we are grateful for all of the parents and families who come together to make them happen. We recently came together for the carnival. This community event brings joy to everyone and we are grateful to all of the adults who bring it together.
Thank you also to everyone who participated in our first ever family fun run. Over $400 was raised towards the paved path. Families felt a great sense of community pride! June 8 will be the day of our 2nd Annual Rummage Sale. Tell your friends and neighbors. The PODs are open for donations on school days. We need more fabulous items to sell!
Farewell to Staff
Although we have not finished with our planning for next school year, we do know a few staff members who will be heading off for new positions and new life adventures. Chris Adams, Jana Schroeder, Sharon Lee, and Lue Armbriech will be enjoying time with family in retirement. Michelle Eckrode will be moving with her family to Colorado and Alison Bedwell will be seeking another position within the district. We are so grateful for their voices, love, and service to our students. They will be greatly missed and their contributions will continue to touch us for years to come. Thank you!

West TV 2nd Annual Read-A-Thon RESULTS
Read-A-Thon Results are in!
- The top students in the school who get to pie Mrs. McNamee are Dorian from Mrs. Schroeder's class, and a tie with Lily from Mrs. Adams and Estella from Mrs. Regali’s classes.
- Who gets to silly string Mrs. McNamee? We are still waiting for some of the pledges to be entered, so we will announce the highest earners in each class early next week.
- Mrs. Hoffman's class raised the highest $ amount per student and earned a pizza party and pajama day! 2nd place went to Mrs. Schroeder's class and 3rd place went to Mr. Paul's class. You are all amazing reading AllStars!
- Dorian from Mrs. Schroeder's class is the highest overall fundraiser and gets to be Principal for the Day with Mrs. McNamee during the last week of school. Nice work, Dorian!
Way to go AllStars!
Safe Routes to School Parent Survey
As you may know, Beaverton School District received a Safe Routes to School grant. The purpose of the program is to make walking and rolling (biking, scooting, bus) to school safe, convenient, and fun. Many schools have made huge progress!
One of the requirements of the grant is to get some information about how students are now traveling to school and what parents think about the routes to school. We get our data through two methods: One is to hear directly from the parent on how the student is traveling to/from school and the other is through the teachers gathering information.
Order School Supplies for Next Year
If you'd like the convenience of ordering online your child's school supplies for next year, the website is up and running until June 14. Go to: www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks and enter West TV's school ID: WES632. Please consider purchasing a few "donation packs" to help us pay for 10 school supply kits for our West TV students in need. These supplies will be bundled and shipped directly to school next fall and will be distributed to each student in time for the first day of classes. It is efficient and economical! Questions can be directed to the parent who is coordinating this service: firstname.lastname@example.org
