Renovations are coming to a close...
We got to eat in the cafeteria this week and it was awesome! The space looks great and the students really appreciated being in the newly renovated space. Mr. Richards, our PE teacher, also appreciated having the entire gym back for his PE classes.Parent/Teacher Conferences -
For those who have already attended fall conferences, we would love your feedback on how to make future events the most impactful. Your time and input is very much appreciated and helpful in future planning. Please click HERE to participate in the survey. If you have yet to participate in fall conferences, we will include the survey next week.
Thanks
Thanks to our extremely generous PTA for hosting dinner on Thursday evening for our entire staff prior to Parent/Teacher Conferences. It is such a treat to not have to worry about dinner on long nights! AND, there were treats in the lounge this morning as staff arrived as well. We are blessed to have such a supportive community!
Have a safe weekend.
Mr. Russell
Character Parade
The school building was full of energy yesterday as we had our annual parade of costumes and all the related festivities. Thank you to all the families who volunteered in classrooms yesterday and to those who participated in the Washington Character Parade. I would like to thank the Washington staff for their efforts at keeping students engaged and focused while having fun yesterday! There were some pretty amazing student and staff costumes. Our school picture photographer (VIP) was here during the parade. Pictures will be shared in the school yearbook and posted. Thanks to our fifth grade teachers and students for being our leaders for the parade yesterday. A special thanks to the East Marching Band as we were fortunate to have some members and past Washington students share some spirit and lead us in the parade.
