Scholarships
4 Steps to finding and applying for scholarships
- Start with the college or institution
- Search the OHS Scholarship Database
- Search state and nationwide databases
- Enroll in micro-scholarship programs
College Scholarships
Always begin looking for scholarships at the colleges you wish to apply to.
- Google the college of your choice and scholarships.
- Find out the process to apply. Some require a separate application, and some do not.
- Find out the deadlines, most require you to apply before winter break.
- Consider applying to colleges where you will be one of the better students. That makes you more attractive as a scholarship candidate.
OHS Scholarship Database
- Regularly search the database for local scholarships.
- Read your email for regular reminders to apply.
- Most local scholarship deadlines are in late winter and spring of the senior year.
Micro-scholarship programs
