Tiger Family Newsletter Sept 2023
All the important deets to stay in the know!
A Note From Mrs. Gold
May It Be of Benefit
Hello Tiger Families,
September is here, and with it came the RAIN! After this 3-day weekend, we begin a 9 1/2 week learning stretch with no school holidays until November 9th. This is a great time to maximize learning because we've spent the last few weeks establishing routines and testing students to see where they were at the start of the year. Now, we will set goals and take action steps to achieve them. As I mentioned in our Back to School video, our School Wide WIG (WIldly Important Goal) is that all students will achieve their individual reading goals. That means that your child (yes, even your TK or Kindergarten student) has a personal reading/learning goal. Ask them about it and see if they can tell you what it is. If you're interested in knowing more about the 7 Habits of Leaders, goal-setting, or how you can use the habits at home to help your child grow into the leadership potential, click HERE to read a short family newsletter.
Thank you to all who were able to join us for Back to School Night. If you weren't able to come, please connect with your child's teacher to find out what they shared and how we can work together to maximize your child's success this year. Teacher's emails are listed in the last section of this newsletter.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Gold
Schoolwide Focus
FOCUS: THE LEADER IN ME
District-wide this year we are bringing in the principles of the 7 Habits of Leaders to both staff and students. You may hear your child refer to "The Leader in Me" (LIM), or "The 7 Habits", or you may not hear them use those titles, but you may simply observe them taking ownership of their actions, being more proactive and results-minded, or being more collaborative.
Last year, we began the process of setting goals (including individual progress goals that students set), and we saw amazing results with incredible reading scores in our elementary grades, and this year we plan to continue along the goal-setting path knowing what an impact it can have of students' personal and academic success!

Cookie Dough/Believe Fundraiser
Mark your calendars for our biggest (and only if you don't count the jog-a-thon) fundraiser of the year. Sales are September 1- 15. In the past, your support of Cookie Dough sales helped our PTO purchase the Little Yellow Bus & Flower Art Easels in the K playground, our water bottle filling station, new picnic tables near the gym, and many more school improvement projects. Register at FUNDPRIZES.COM. We look forward to another record-breaking year of sales.
This year, the top 10 sellers get to slime me!
September Menus
The Sept menu has arrived! Click the link to see what's being served.
Also, here is flyer from Cal Fresh with information about how to receive assistance with food if there is a need.
School Safety
Every year, we LOVE the excitement that sweeps across the district as our schools are, once again, full of students, teachers, and families, but with crowds come safety risks if we aren’t all careful.
Drivers - slow down, remove distractions, and be a little extra cautious in school zones.
Pedestrians - be alert, be seen, and cross streets only where and when it is safe.
California calls September Pedestrian Awareness Month, so let’s commit to all of our families getting to and from school safely. It’s important that EVERYONE do their part.
Attendance Matters
As we settle into the new school year, remember that EVERY DAY MATTERS for our students! Academic lessons, social experiences, and habits that establish routines make EVERY DAY an opportunity for your child to learn and grow.
September is national Attendance Awareness Month, where we focus on a strong start with great attendance. We will be exploring the impacts attendance has on our students, so follow our district Facebook page (facebook.com/enterpriseesd) to join the conversation!
If getting to school is especially difficult for your family, please reach out! We want to be your ally to set your child up for success, because our schools are best when EVERY child thrives.

- Handbook Agreements (a link to the Handbook is included)

- Health Information
- Housing Questionnaire
- Educational Benefits Form
