REMINDER

The Deadline for Intent to Return: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14
Our Intent to Return Window has opened!
This process ensures that your child's seat is saved for the 22-23 school year. If you do not complete this step, your seat will be given up for the 22-23 school year. You will need to log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal on a web browser to complete this process. You can use your phone, but you will need to use the web browser as the PowerSchool app does not support this process.
The deadline for completing this short process is February 14, 2022.
We are looking for 100% completion, as this allows us to plan our enrollment for the next school year.

Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation. Black History Month celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs, and adversities that are an indelible part of our country's history.
Ms. Foote's class created artwork in conjunction with Black History Month.
Below are some of the heroes and leaders they learned about this week.

The IB Learner profile aims to develop students who are principled. Principled learners act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness, justice, and respect for the dignity of the individual, groups, and communities. They take responsibility for their own actions and the consequences that accompany them.

USA Test Prep’s Green Dot Challenge.
This program was created to encourage students to practice for the upcoming Florida Standards Assessment by completing assignments that are specifically geared towards your child’s weakness in Reading.
Below are the steps that must be followed in order to successfully complete the challenge that ends April 1, 2022.

PYP scholars are to be picked up by 3:00 PM.
MYP scholars are to be picked up before 4:00 PM.
Bootcamp dismissal is at 3:55 PM.
Club dismissal is 4:10 PM.
Parents of scholars in grades K-5 who are not picked up by 3:00 PM will be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute, per student. Parents of scholars in grades 6-8 not picked up by 4:00 PM will also be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute, per student.
Parents must come into the lobby to sign out their scholar.

Franklin's uniform dress code is being fully enforced across all grade levels.
Students are required to wear a polo shirt with the school logo and the required Franklin bottoms. Non-Franklin sweatshirts, sweaters, and/or jackets are NOT permitted. In the event that the temperature outside is 40 degrees or below, scholars may wear a non-Franklin jacket; however, hoodies are not permitted to be worn at any time. In addition, plain black or brown dress-style belts MUST be worn by students in grades 2-8, and shirts are required to be tucked into skirts/skorts, shorts, and pants.

Uniform infractions will be given to any scholar who is not following the above uniform requirements.
Please remind your scholar that gum is not allowed and cell phones must be turned off and kept in his/her backpack until he/she is picked up from school.
Cell phones may NOT be used curing carline for any reason.
