We've got ZWAG!

Achieving Promise 2 Purpose with ZWAG

Dear Zebra families,

As students join us for the 2017-18 school year, we are ecstatic to to live our

Klein ISD shared vision of Promise 2 Purpose and ensuring that every child enters with a promise and exits with a purpose. We will achieve this shared vision by focusing on 5 characteristics: Pathways, Equity, Challenge, Leadership and Continuous Improvement. The faculty and staff at Zwink will embrace this with a focus on continuous improvement in our learning community through instilling a growth mindset in our students. This year, our focus is all about learning and growing, and our theme is Zebras With A Growth Mindset! Those with a growth mindset find success in doing their best, and in learning and improving from previous mistakes. Those with a growth mindset believe that perseverance, practice, and dedication to their goals means whatever they want to achieve is theirs for the taking. ZWAG is our method to grow resilient learners with an unwavering sense of self, and constant grit to keep learning when it becomes difficult. We will do this in connection with our Zwink Core Values of Educational Excellence, Prized Relationships, Collaborative Community, Attitude of Gratitude, and Intentional Loyalty, as we will work to grow in all these areas. Be on the lookout for more information in the near future! Follow our 2017-18 hashtag on Twitter #ZWAG

In order to ensure student safety during the eclipse, our students will be viewing the live stream from NASA in their classrooms. We understand this is a memorable experience, and want our students to have the opportunity to participate in a safe manner. We appreciate your understanding as the safety of your child is our top priority.
